Happy Holidays!

Here’s to a safe and happy holiday season!!

This has been a challenging year for the rescue. We didn’t take in as many dogs as previous years, primarily due to lack of fosters and the amount of dogs being returned to the rescue. The reasons why were mostly the same - moving and couldn’t take the pup with them and behavior issues mostly due to little/no training and not being spayed/neutered. Ages returned were usually under 1. We currently have Thea, Sheba, Bailey, Luna, and Bella (medical) in our care and looking for their permanent homes.

If you or your family are looking for a pup but never had one or it’s been awhile, I cannot stress to try fostering first. While we ask for a 2 week commitment, if situations arise, we can move the dog. But it will give the family time to see if this is something they can handle for 10+ years - dogs are forever! If you love puppies - foster! You get the puppy breath and help get them to their furever home. It’s a win all around!

Speaking of returns, on Christmas Eve, we are getting this 5 year old girl back - owners are moving and cannot take her with them. We were heartened by the outpouring on her FB post, looks like we found a foster with a potential adopter. If not, she’ll be posted as available for adoption.
